The toll from a catastrophic earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria climbed above 35,000 on Monday, with search and rescue groups beginning to wind down their work.
Officers and medics mentioned 31,643 individuals had died in Turkey and three,581 in Syria from final Monday’s 7.8-magnitude tremor, bringing the confirmed complete to 35,224.
