At Least 6 Killed In Oxygen Plant Explosion In Bangladesh

Dhaka:

A minimum of six folks have been killed and a number of other injured on Saturday when a hearth broke out following an explosion at an oxygen plant in southeastern Bangladesh, officers stated.

The dying depend might rise as a rescue operation was ongoing on the plant at Sitakunda, 40 km (25 miles) from the southeastern port metropolis of Chittagong, they added.

It was not instantly clear what induced the explosion, a hearth service official stated.

“Six our bodies have been recovered from the positioning,” native authorities official Shahadat Hossain advised Reuters, including a rescue operation was persevering with.

An enormous bang was heard which shook an space with a radius of as much as two kilometers, police official Nayhanul Bari stated, quoting witnesses.
