

India rejected “unwarranted” references to Kashmir by the OIC. (File)

India has assailed the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for its “unwarranted references” to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and for permitting Pakistan to hijack and misuse its platform for finishing up Islamabad’s “nefarious agenda” in opposition to New Delhi.
Exercising its proper of reply on the Excessive-Stage Section of 52nd session of the Human Rights Council, Seema Pujani, First Secretary, Everlasting Mission of India in Geneva, outrightly rejected the reference to the assertion made by the OIC consultant.
“As regards the OIC assertion, we reject the unwarranted references to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir,” Ms Pujani stated in an announcement on Friday.
“The very fact is that the complete territories of the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh have been, are and shall all the time be a part of India. Pakistan is in unlawful occupation of Indian territory,” she stated.
As an alternative of calling upon its member Pakistan to surrender state-sponsored terrorism and to elevate its occupation of Indian territory, the OIC has “let Pakistan hijack and misuse its platform for finishing up its nefarious agenda of partaking in malicious propaganda in opposition to India,” Ms Pujani stated.
India has beforehand criticised the Jeddah-based OIC for its try and intervene and meddle in India’s inside affairs as fully unacceptable.
A spokesperson of the Ministry of Exterior Affairs has stated that the OIC has already misplaced its credibility by taking a blatantly communal, partisan and factually incorrect strategy to points.
